Public Notice The Board of School Trustees of Northwestern School Corporation will hold a private executive session on Thursday, November 14th, 2024 following the adjournment of the regular board meeting to discuss collective bargaining. The meeting will be held at Howard Elementary School Cafeteria located at 3526 N 300 E, Kokomo, In 46901.

Howard Elementary Fall Fish Fry! November 8th, 2024 4:30-7:00pm

A giant THANK YOU to China  Wok for donating  fried rice, chopsticks, and fortune cookies for our end of the unit culminating activity over Asian Ancient Civilizations. They have wonderful fried rice and friendly service.  We sure appreciate their generosity!

Northwestern School Corporation will be in session on our make-up day, Presidents’ Day, February 19. By utilizing this day, Northwestern School Corporation has the opportunity to cancel school on Eclipse Day, April 8. We believe that it is in our students best interest to be in school on 2/19 and allow families the opportunity to view the eclipse on 4/8 locally or travel to a better viewing location.

The Splash n Dash on Friday was a huge success! We are so grateful for all our sponsors and community supporters!

Today Mrs. Crozier's students experimented with the reaction of baking soda and vinegar to make "apple volcanos" They also had apple mouths for snack!

After reading about Welles Crowther’s bravery on 9/11/01 as a volunteer firefighter, Mrs. Murphy's Class delivered a care package to our local fire station in Kokomo with a copy of the book they read (signed by all of the students) and their bandana of bravery activity they did in class!

Northwestern's admin team had a great time at the inaugural booster color run!

PreK students practiced fine motor skills by adding fall leaves to trees today!

Mrs. Murphy's 4th grade students are working on paying bills this morning. One student said “I’m never leaving my parent’s house. I’m going to live at home forever.” 😂

Hello Howard Families, Howard Elementary is a Title I school. This means we receive federal dollars based on the number of free and reduced lunch students we have. Howard Elementary is on a boil order today Wednesday, August 12th. Please send a water bottle to school with your child. You can fill the bottle with water before you leave for school or we can fill it at school with bottled water.
