Dear Parents, Staff, and Students,

There are many fun activities coming up to finish the year. Please read the calendar on the HowardGram page. We are excited about our video announcements added to our school website. I want to thank Mary Long, Todd Miller, and Diana Schaaf for organizing the technology, the background set up, and the written announcements. As we continue to engage technology with the use of digital communication, we want our students at Howard to participate in variety of formats for experience and personal educational growth. Please click the tab "Video Announcements" and follow the link. Video announcements for Fall 2012, will only be open to fifth and sixth grade students who meet our guidelines.
I want to thank Mrs. Myndie Everling and Mr. Jon Rodgers for their work on Fine Arts Night held this past Wednesday. It was a very nice and relaxing and enjoyable evening. We love to appreciate our students' singing voices and visual arts talents. Thank you parents for supporting Harmon Notes and Art Plus.
Thank you Mrs. Mellissa Burkhalter, and the PTO, for recognizing the teachers and staff at Howard Elementary School. We enjoyed the candy treats and optimistic comments about our profession. This is very much appreciated.
This summer we will begin online registration. This is new to Howard and we want our families to realize this will be a change from previous enrollment day events. Please check the corporation website for the dates to determine the opening of the online enrollment process.
As a reminder we ask our parents, when picking up your children at the end of the day, please leave before the busses do, or wait until after the busses leave. We know our parents like to visit with each other and talk about school. Our bus drivers are concerned about parents and students walking between the buses. Please wait until the buses are cleared out before proceeding to the parking lot. Safety first is top priority at Howard Elementary!
